Tetras are brightly colored fish that add movement and color to any aquarium. The Serpae Tetra is primarily a bold red to reddish brown in color. This particular species can be semi-aggressive and tends to nip at the fins of tank mates if the school is not large enough. A schooling fish, it does best when housed in groups of five or more of the same species in a tank with several hiding spots.
